Doncaster Rovers Football Club are proud of their fans and their fans’ enjoyment of the whole match day experience (not just 90+ minutes of play) has always been of paramount importance to the club, this can be accredited to the club winning multiply EFL Family Excellence Awards.
To continue the winning trend and in preparation for the launch of the 2016/17 season I was asked to create a concept to bring the club’s new family area, Donny Dog’s Kennel to life, with the aim of engaging and nurturing their existing fans but also to entertain newcomers and young football fans.
I delivered large-scale graphic installations, which interacted with the existing structure of the Keepmoat Stadium, featuring two of Doncaster Rovers’ most popular players, James Coppinger, and Andy Butler as well as the teams’ mascots, Donny Dog.
The whole space is brought together with dynamic graphics elements creating energy, movement and pulling the eye around the room. Such as goal challenges and a height chart to see how smaller fans measured up to their heroes.
